Hansi Lo Wang, who joined War News Radio in August 2005, is a senior producer and co-anchor. A McCabe Scholar, he is a political science honors major with minors in history and Asian studies. Fluent in Cantonese and studying Mandarin Chinese, he plans to start a youth radio project in Philadelphia Chinatown with the support of his Lang Opportunity Scholarship.

Most recently, Wang reported on the difficulties of buying gasoline in Iraq, the Iraqi director of Ahlaam, the first feature film to come out of Iraq in years, the Iraqi Mandaen community, and Hollywood movies about the Iraq war.

He has also profiled the author of Guests of the Sheik : An Ethnography of an Iraqi Village, and non-citizen soldiers serving in the U.S. military in Iraq. Wang followed the trail of the illegal Iraqi antiquities market in a two-part series for War News Radio (Part 1 and Part 2). He recently went looking for comedy in Iraq to find out what makes Iraqis laugh.
